Happy Halloween!

Tim and I had fun carving our pumpkins last night and are now sitting around waiting and hoping to get a few trick-or-treaters. *Crosses Fingers*

If we don't, I guess having a bunch of extra chocolate around wouldn't be toooo horrible, right?

Here are our pumpkins:

Tim's is the Lion and mine is a Squirrel :)

Outside, ready for the kiddos.....

Have a fun night!

On the Tracks

Firstly, the wonderful  and oh-so-sweet Courtney of I CAN BE MANY THINGS, asked me to do a little guest post for her! Click here and find out what makes me smile... :)
Also, while you are there, check out Courtney's many other great posts. She is such a beautiful person inside and out and I am so happy she asked me to guest post.

Secondly, I got an early Birthday present from my sweet husband. Boots!
I have been wanting a pair of tall, brown boots with some sort of buckle detail on them for awhile now, so when I found these babies on sale, we had to snatch um up!

I decided to pair them with this dress not only because I have been wanting to remix it, but also because I loved the mix of pretty/feminine with the edginess of the buckle and zipper on the boot.

Little about me:
I really like railroad tracks. During summer time when I was a kid, my cousins and I would walk down to a little burger joint that served the best ice cream cones. We would get our ice cream, walk along the railroad tracks and then plop down, eat our ice cream and skip rocks on the river that the tracks went around.

So since railroad tracks have always been a little nostalgic for me, I was more than happy to find these old, unused tracks just a few blocks from our place. It was such a perfect fall day, yesterday, when we took these photos... I get a happy feelin' just lookin at those tracks..

P.S.
Time to give credit where credit is due.
I get so many lovely comments about the photography on here! Thanks :)
But, none of these images where I am in the photo, would be possible without the awesome, patient help of my husband. He is so sweet for following me around and listening to my crazy photo demands.
Soo..if I am not in the photo, then I took it....if I am....thanks to Tim!

A Night at the Beach

Have you ever been to a beach at night time? It is pretty spectacular.
Especially if the beach is across the water from a cool skyline that has amazing looking clouds hovering above it.

Tim and I were feelin' young, antsy and wanted to get out of the house last Saturday night. At about 9:30 we came to the spontaneous conclusion that we would go to a beach; Alki Beach in Seattle.
I brought my camera and tripod with hopes of getting some good photos. I really like the way these turned out, hope you enjoy them too....

The first photo is definitely my favorite.
In the 2nd photo, the moving object towards the left is a Ferry. I loved how it looked while in motion...

The entire time we were hanging out and taking these photos, we could hear the sea lions talking to each other and the clanging of the bells on the boats as they went by.
Such a nice experience.

Wishful Wednesday

One of the reasons I started Wishful Wednesday was to not only share with you guys what I am currently wishing for, but also to serve as a reminder of the items that I really love so that I won't forget about them forever in this noggin' of mine.

This weeks item is something that I did forget about and just randomly remembered after months and months.

I loved this MANGO necklace from the moment I saw it on Natalie, of NatalieOffDuty. So unique and amazing and of course I love it because it's an animal...duhhh :)

My Birthday is coming up, so maybe it will magically appear?!

I Never Wanna Grow Up

I have been dying to have a piece of clothing with a peter pan collar foreverrrr.
So, the moment I saw this top a few weeks ago, I fell in love and had to have it.

Whenever I see or think of a peter pan collar, I inevitably think of the Disney movie, Peter Pan, that I loved so much when I was a child....hence the title of this post...

Cardigan:F21
Top: Fred Meyer of all places! (Yeah, crazy I know! haha)
Skinnies: Target
Shoes:UO
Cameo Necklace:Gift from Mom

Isn't this fall scenery amazing?! While on our never ending search for colorful fall foliage, we stumbled upon this gem literally a BLOCK from our apartment....a block! We had been driving around all this time searching for places like this and it was so close all along...*sigh*.

Anyway, I love this top so much. It is so pretty, delicate and perfect and I can't wait to pair it with something else other than pants. As I have said many times on here before, I am not much of a pants wearer and I much prefer dresses/skirts.

Well, I so desperately wanted to wear this top and really didn't have anything else to pair it with other than these black skinnies, so I just went for it. It works, but I can't wait till I get some Birthday $$$ in a few weeks to find something else for it, along with other wish list items :)

-Random Story/Tidbit-

Yesterday, I was doing our weekly grocery shopping at Whole Foods.
While meandering around the vast and beautifully displayed produce section, oohing and awing at all the various fruits and veggies, I stumbled upon a woman with neither pants nor a bra on.
It was awkward and uncomfortable but I couldn't look away.
It killed the feel good vibe I had going on, and throughout the entire time I was shopping, I couldn't get the image out of my mind.
I kept thinking to myself, "Maybe she had shorts on under that long, purple t-shirt?"
But then came to the conclusion that those shorts would have had to been pretty short and then whats the point of wearing any at all once people already assume you have none on?

hahahah :) Hope that entertained you for a bit....

Wishful Wednesday

What am I wishing for this week? Sweaters...in different shapes and colors.

They look so comfy, cozy and cute!

Today I am also wishing that this horrible cold I have, would go away quickly....sorry to keep it so short....time for this gal to get some more rest.

Pumpkin Pickin'

Tim and I went to a Pumpkin Patch!

I haven't been since I was a kid and have been wanting to go for the past few years, but while living in Texas, the only "pumpkin patch" I saw was a little section of a grocery store parking lot with hay thrown on it and a few pumpkins scattered over that. Not that exciting...

So, now that we are back in a place where proper pumpkin patches exist, we summoned our inner child, went and had a great time.

There were alpacas and pygmy goats there!!!

He still isn't taller than the apple :/ haha

Tons of photos, I know...but I am just so in love with this season I couldn't resist. The textures, colors, and crisp air..ahhh heaven.

There was a corn maze that we were planning on getting lost in, but it turned out to be pretty lame and you could literally see the tops of peoples heads as they walked through. Not much of a challenge for us giants. Also, we didn't get a chance to go on the sweet hay bale ride around the farm....but we have both planned for a later date :)

To top off an already great time, up the road from the farm, we noticed a little family owned creamery. We stopped by on our way back home and picked up some delicious freshly made Pumpkin Ice cream.

I <3 you Autumn.

Oh, the Colors!

To celebrate Tim's Birthday, I took Friday off from work. We spent the day together eating yummy food and going to record shops, so that he could spend some of his Birthday money on a few much wanted albums.

Since we have been on a constant hunt for pretty fall foliage and we had lots of time to do whatever we pleased, we decided to stop by one of our favorite parks on the way to the record shops on Capitol Hill. I had a feeling that this park, The Arboretum, would have the colors we had been seeking.
Although, not every single leaf was painted red, orange, or yellow like I would have wished...it was still lovely.

Despite how it may appear, I did not mean for the colors in my dress to match the scenery so well haha :)

Had such a nice time celebrating and having a three-day weekend with my man, don't want it to enddddd.

Hope everyone had a good one!
